And the race ... goes on ...
ManUre 67 pts
Arses 67 pts
Chel$ki 64 pts
Scousers 59 pts
Blue Scousers 56 pts
Its grand slam Sunday this coming week, we cannot write off the Scousers yet.
Just a couple of games back Liverpool were 17 massive points away from Arsenal, this is now down to only 8 points.
Makes it look like the La Liga race don't it?
4 successive draws have hurt Arsenal's might lead. This could happen to Chelsea and ManU as well.
Witness the laborious wins against Derby and Sunderland over the weekend?
Arsenal should thank and reward Kolo Toure for getting them a point.
It isn't over yet ...
Predictions for Grand Slam Sunday? Liverpool win. Chelsea win.
El Pichichi'
Nando Torres v Cristiano Ronaldo
What a shoot out - Nando does not stop - he's addicted to taking the pot shot.
Cristiano - he is on another planet. He cannot have a bad game and not score. If he has a good game he scores more. Not sure which plant he's from.
Will Adebayor step up to the plate?
Finally the Red half of Liverpool have their Owen replacement - and he even tracks back to win the ball back. Plus what speed?
C'mon El Nino!

Fernando Torres Show and Barnsley's FA Cup
Good weekend for the City of Liverpool - Capital of Culture 2008.
It seems that the fight for 4th place is what motivates the Red and the Blue halves of Liverpool.
Not sure what happens at the beginning of the season when they should still be focusing on the big trophy? Anyway ... 4th Place Cup it is for the European City of Culture 2008.
Golden Stars of the Week
If you had 26 million dollars, would you spend it on Torres or Owen.
99% of the Kop would have spent it on Owen. Just tells you how England fans die hard for useless players.
Thank God for Rafa the Rotators ....
Since we now know that Torres is going to get the English 'Pichichi', [only one misguided fellow thought Drogba would do it], its time for another poll.
We don't mind the contribution of Captain Fantastic either ... 10 goals for the season, more goals scored than anyone in Chelsea. Shocking, Shocking!
If only someone could take care of those pesky blue half of Liverpool!
Jimmy Bullard
He seems to have re-born the Fulham machine - darn it, couldn't he have stayed injured before we visited them?
Dimitar Berbatov
Finally woken up - but what is up with the yo yo Tottenham, one day they are winning 4 - 0, next they are being beaten 4 - 0, then they win 4 - 0 .... do you see where I'm going with this Man City?
Barbs of the Week
Arse, Arse, Arse - lost opportunity ... I could never imagine we would have come as close as 10 points behind them?
What? 3 games and we are almost behind them? Wrong man, wrong.
We've learnt from games in hand, I was advised long ago - "... they mean nothing until they are points in the bag ..."
You have taken the perfected Liverpoool tactic of multiple draws and made it your own.
I can only say ... learn from the best ... hah hah hah!
9 games to go, 27 points at stake ... here's the log.
Upcoming fixtures, 12 March:
Arsenal: Middlesborough @ Emirates [banker 3 points? don't think so, there are consistency issues this is a banana skin]
ManU: Derby away [should be a banker 3 points, c'mon]
Chelsea: Sunderland away [hmmm ... after the steal by Everton here, Keane will be looking for a response]
Liverpool: Reading @ Anfield [revenge? Torres hat trick, Gerrard thunderbolt - hah hah]
FA Cup
One word: Barnsely
Thank you for embarassing the Chel$ki. They talked quite a bit after you stunned our third team.
It was great to see their Champions League team being taught a lesson by your gutsy play.
Chelsea - shame on you; a lesson should have been learnt from when they beat the Kop - weren't you watching???
Another word: Portsmouth
I love that they come back after having been embarassed earlier in the season at OT, but great of them to come and play some INSPIRATIONAL defence at OT and come out with a hard earned 1 - nil win.
Harry Redknapp, you should go all the way. The only Premiership team left in the race.

The only highlight is FRIGHT for fourth position
Merseyside Derby
Yep, the Blues are giving the Reds a fright - for sure it will end up as usual with the Reds winning the Champions League 2008!
We are going to take this to the derby.
I'm not sure why Liverpool are doing battle with the rest of the table when we should be focusing on the top three.
It seems that it is no longer the fab four and just only the tip top 3.
Good win for the Red Scousers though - it should boost Babel that he scored and 'almost' scored. [What a glaring miss that was - it was easier to hit that in than to miss!]
London Bridge is falling down
Everyone gave Ian Wright stick when he said that Arsenal did not have the bottle to carry their good form through to the end of the Premiership battle.
How right they are proving him now.
I pray Arse can pull the form book out - we cannot have ManUre pulling close to our 18 record with us still looking like we are NEVER going to win the Premiership [Can they put it back to the old Division 1?]
Help
Ru$$ian$
They've reminded us that they are still here.
Okay, the only great thing is that Lampard saw read ... after he tried to convert Boa Morte into a foot mat!
Can't we all just get along?
